Classic Metropolitan Hospitality in Central Chennai

A Formal Large-City Hotel Layout

The property follows Taj’s classic metropolitan-luxury model rather than a resort format. Formal lobby and lounge areas connect with specialty dining venues, banquet spaces, conference facilities and a pool terrace, creating a full-service urban hotel for corporate, diplomatic and leisure use.

Indoor and Outdoor Event Architecture

Its common areas are organized to support substantial gatherings, with ballroom and conference spaces complemented by landscaped outdoor areas and the pool terrace. Indoor and outdoor settings are used for conferences, weddings, receptions and other large social events.

Suites, Flexible Room Combinations and Butler Service

A 212-Room, 11-Suite Inventory

The accommodation collection comprises 212 rooms, including 11 suites, with published categories covering triple rooms, twin rooms and suites. At least some suite layouts include a bedroom, dressing area and bathroom, while connecting-room options support flexible arrangements.

Premium Service-Oriented Accommodation

Selected premium room and suite configurations include private butler service. One published room type also includes access to a meeting room for two hours, extending the accommodation offer beyond conventional overnight use.

South Indian, Italian and Chinese Dining Under One Roof

Four Distinctive Restaurant Concepts

Southern Spice focuses on South Indian cuisine and is recognized as a major Chennai address for regional fine dining. Prego serves Italian food, Golden Dragon specializes in Sichuan and Cantonese cooking, and Anise provides multi-cuisine all-day dining in a restaurant and café format.

Tea Lounge and Evening Drinks

Chipstead functions as the hotel’s bar and lounge, while the Tea Lounge serves teas from around the world. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available across the dining collection, with table reservations handled through the hotel’s booking channels.

A 25-Metre Lagoon Pool with Lap-Lane Character

Landscaped Leisure and Lap Swimming

The outdoor pool beside the fitness centre is described as one of Chennai’s largest hotel pools. Its lagoon-style design includes a 25-metre form and a 5-metre lap-lane element, making it a hybrid leisure and swimming facility rather than a simple plunge pool.

Curved Loungers and Poolside Functions

The pool environment includes curved loungers, landscaped surroundings and a Jacuzzi positioned at the centre line of the pool area. The pool terrace also operates as an outdoor setting for functions and poolside receptions.

J Wellness Circle’s Full-Service Urban Retreat

Treatments, Beauty and Thermal Facilities

J Wellness Circle includes a dedicated spa treatment room and treatment rooms for massages, body treatments and body wraps. Its wider menu includes manicure and pedicure services and beauty treatments, supported by sauna, steam room and changing facilities.

Fitness, Yoga and Personal Training

The fitness centre is supported by yoga classes and personal trainer access, giving the wellness programme both guided and self-directed options. A business centre, hair salon, designer stores, garden areas and terrace spaces add substantial ancillary facilities.

Conference and Celebration Infrastructure

Meeting facilities include 12,927 square feet of total space, five meeting rooms and layouts for auditorium, classroom, banquet and cocktail events. Capacity reaches 2,000 standing and 1,000 seated, with indoor, outdoor and poolside event support.

Nungambakkam Between Chennai’s Business and Retail Corridors

A Prominent Central District

Nungambakkam is a well-established central Chennai district combining business offices, high-end retail, restaurants, hotels, consulates and long-standing residential enclaves. The hotel’s setting places these commercial and lifestyle areas within the immediate central-city environment.

Access to Key Chennai Districts

The location provides practical access to the traditional business core and central shopping corridors, including T. Nagar, Egmore and Anna Salai. It is also positioned near major commercial offices and city transit links.
