1812 origins
Originally built in 1812 by Shridhar Narayan Munshi, the property later became known as Darbhanga Palace after entering the possession of King Rameshwar Singh Bahadur in 1915.
Maratha-influenced architecture
The building features sandstone pillars, semicircular bastions and floral motifs associated with the Maratha-influenced architectural style of Varanasi’s ghats.
