Neemrana Hotels developed the property from an unfinished royal palace commissioned by Maharaja Balwant Singh in the early 1800s. Restoration retained the original fort structures while inserting residential spaces into the historic masonry shell.

Rather than a single uniform palace block, the complex unfolds through Rani Mahal, Mardana Mahal and Hawa Mahal, with layered massing, thick stone walls, historic courtyards and stepped levels creating the character of a hill fort.

The architectural language reflects Rajput, Afghan and broader Indo-Islamic influences, with occasional colonial detailing and spatial traces. Historical construction is associated with artisans brought from Kabul and Delhi.
