The former residence of Narendra Singhji, the last Maharaja of Bikaner, has been transformed around his personality, travels, tastes and social world. The design treats the building as a sequence of biographical milestones rather than a generic heritage conversion.
Restored residential fabric is combined with later additions and a redesigned jali. The visual language draws on Junagarh Fort and Marwari tradition, while Bombay Art Deco, regimented military order and Broadway-style glamour shape the interiors.
The former terrace was converted into Diwali Chowk, a central courtyard around which the rooms are organized. Its colonnades and light-filled open-air setting form one of the property’s principal architectural gathering spaces.
The hotel contains 82 rooms whose interiors reflect different stages in Narendra Singhji’s life. The accommodation follows the property’s wider eclectic, historically referential design approach instead of presenting a uniform corporate visual scheme.
